Yiqing B. Yang

As the Co-founder and CTO, Yiqing B. Yang oversees the engineering and AI infrastructure that powers Psynk.ai.

What sets Yiqing apart is a rare duality: he possesses both the rigorous, exploratory mind of a research scientist and the pragmatic, execution-focused drive of a seasoned engineer. He is known for applying first-principles thinking to deconstruct cross-domain challenges and architect highly scalable real-world solutions.

Before Psynk.ai, Yiqing built a formidable track record of deploying cutting-edge AI across industries. He previously served as the Co-founder and CTO of a machine learning-driven quantitative trading firm. Prior to that, he led the L4 autonomous driving algorithms team at WeRide, architecting the core planning and decision-making systems. His foundational AI expertise was further deepened during a three-year tenure as a robotics learning researcher at the General AI Lab of Horizon Robotics.

Yiqing’s interdisciplinary approach is rooted in his exceptionally broad academic background. He graduated from Tsinghua University with a double major in Automation and Economics, alongside a minor in Math and Physics. He went on to pursue a Computer Science PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, spending three years conducting research in computer vision and machine learning before joining Google to work on QPX, the highest-profile airfare search and pricing system based on Common Lisp.
